The Orangemen grabbed another win against K State, making them the first team to reach the Sweet 16. The Orange were without Fab Melo again, but that was overshadowed by K State’s second leading scorer Jamar Samuels being ruled ineligible for the game. That, compiled with Cuse’s dominant 2-3 zone proved too much for the 8th seed to overcome. So much for all the critics putting the Orange on upset alert in this game.
